Quilting services and pricing

All projects are individually priced before work begins. That way, you know exactly how much your quilting project will cost.

In everything we do, we strive to be easy to work with, providing clear expectations without surprises later on. 

Quilting: 2 cents per square inch and up

Pricing for standard pantograph (edge to edge) quilting using readily available patterns is as follows:

• Large quilts with a length plus width greater than 150 inches (virtually any quilt designed for a bed, like a quilt 64" x 86" for example) are 2 cents per square inch.
• Medium-sized quilts with a length plus width between 100 and 150 inches (50"x 60", for example) are 2.25 cents per square inch.
• Smaller quilts with a length plus width less than 100 inches (smaller than 50" x 50", for example) are 3 cents per square inch.

Custom patterns, borders, etc., which require more time and effort, will be priced on a per-project basis. Customer-made T-shirt quilts, which can be significantly more complicated to quilt, are priced at 3 cents per square inch.

Semi-custom and custom quilts, with changes in pattern, thread color, etc. will be priced on a per-project basis, generally between 6 and 8 cents per square inch.

Thread: Included in Quilting Fee

We only use high-quality thread suitable for use with our high-speed longarm quilting machine. High-quality thread, such as most commonly-available cotton and polyester thread, is included in the quilting price.

Specialty thread, such as certain cotton, metallic, or variegated thread, twin-needle quilting, or projects that require multiple colors of thread may necessitate an additional charge.

Batting

We are proud to stock high-quality Quilter's Dream batting in multiple widths, lofts, and varieties. As a service to our customers, we sell Quilter's Dream batting for our customers' projects at a price much lower than you will typically find at retail.

If you would prefer to provide your own batting, please let us know.

Binding and Finishing

We offer several binding and finishing options. We can:

• Trim and Square Without Binding: we can trim and square your quilt, and add a locking stitch around the perimeter. Five cents per linear inch.
• Trim and Stitch Binding on Top: we can trim and square your quilt and sew your binding material to the front of the quilt. Then the customer can either machine or hand stitch the binding to the back of the quilt. Twenty cents per linear inch. 
• Trim and Full Machine Stitch: we can trim your quilt and sew your binding material to the front of the quilt. Then we can "stitch in the ditch" through the front of the quilt to attach the binding on the back. This way, you receive a completed quilt back from us.  Thirty-three cents per linear inch.

Patterns

If you find an online pattern that you would like to use on your quilt that we have not already purchased, we will split the cost of the pattern 50/50.

Piecing Backing Fabric

If you would like us to piece your backing fabric together, we charge $10 per quilt.

Facility

All quilting is done in a pet-free and smoke-free temperature-controlled environment.

Pickup, Delivery and Shipping

As a service to our customers, we are happy to provide free local (Wake Forest addresses or up to a 10 mile driving radius) pickup and delivery - ask us! Delivery and shipping costs (USPS, FedEx, etc.), if any, will be passed on directly to the customer (without any markup).
